The Signal Seekers Radio Control Club is a non-profit organization created in 1961 with the purpose of promoting, instructing, advancing, and ultimately flying model aircraft and helicopters with like minded people.
Our AMA chartered club (#371) is currently home to over 100 members and is still looking to grow. Our flying field (located in Westland, MI) is open year round for club members. Pilots enjoy almost unlimited flyover space for all varieties of aircraft and helicopters. We offer a 450' manicured turf runway on a 300'x 300' plot of land, as well as a separate 200' turf circle adjacent to the main field for control line flight. A new permanent shelter providing 720 square feet of shade has been added to the field in early 2013. Club flight instructors are made available on Wednesday evenings during the flying season for member flight training as well as discovery flights. are held on the 4th Monday of every month at the Canton EAA hanger during winter months and at the field during the flying season. At these meetings members and guests come together to discuss club business, current events in the hobby, and share build projects.
Anytime our gates are open, we welcome you to stop by and experience model aviation for yourself!
